Ripe For Incorporation: Maysville, Maine (1816-1883)
The Town of Maysville now a part of Presque Isle, once boasted of being its own community and as such has its own history separate from Presque Isle. The presentation focuses on the settling and incorporation of Maysville with particular attention to stories of the Armstrong, Ashby, Chandler, Bean, Allen, Parkhurst and Rolfe families. These families and their stories reflect the growth of Maysville from an unsettled frontier to an established farming community that made contributions to the local area, the state, and the nation.

Maine State Park Pass

It’s here! Your library card just got even more valuable. Our participation in the Friends of Maine State Park Pass Pilot Program provides our patrons (with an updated library card) a Vehicle Park Pass to share with other patrons to check out free! Check it out just as you would a book, take the pass to a Maine State Park or Historic Site, and be admitted to day-use facilities as though you’d purchased a pass. When finished, bring the pass back for someone else to enjoy! A vehicle park pass costs $105.00 a year. With this pass and a library card from our library, it now costs zero.
